I also learned an important lesson - you shouldn't feed raccoons pet food that "makes its own gravy."  The critters took great pleasure in dipping the chow in the water. As an icky result, notice the orange-tinted water tubs. It was probably about 6 weeks old and was about the size of an adult fist, minus the tail. It was so cute! It followed its mother away from the nest. My stomach is out of sorts and I am the only one in the office today. My ex-husband and son took me to my favorite place for brunch, Casa de Luz. You can't tell from this picture, but it is very smoggy today. The air is filled with smoke, blowing in from Mexico. It gives the city a strange, brown look.

I spent the weekend cleaning out my closet from hell! It was very scary, but somehow, I pulled it off. All my winter clothes are packed away. I took an honest look at my other clothes and sent a good half of them off to charity. Now I need to buy some more clothes!

This guy just loves having his picture taken. 

The possums are very camera shy. Everytime they come to chow and I try to snap their picture, all I manage to capture is a photo of their tail zipping away. I had a very nice Easter Sunday, filled with good food and company. It was a lot of fun watching the toddlers hunt for eggs. I brought cascarones, which are colored eggs filled with confetti. I dined on a sweet potato empanada, a sprout salad with avacodo dressing, a bean and tofu burrito, a black bean gordito, delicious rice and some hibiscus tea. Yum! They have wonderful vegetarian food at their restaurants.

It is such a beautiful day. I have been clearing out some beds to plant flowers, and another big bed to plant some vegetables. The veggies will have to wait until next week. I have a bunch of seedlings, but they need to spend a few more days transitioning for their new life in the yard. That and I'm tired from all the yard work!
