I'm home from my conference at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, home of the Alamo and the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs won a game last night -- I'm not in to sports, but everyone in San Antonio who was, honked their horns in celebration until about 3 a.m. last night. Annoying!!!
I didn't realize until I got checked in to my room that I didn't remember to pick up my camera (which I'd put in a special place so I wouldn't forget it, of course!) It was too bad because I had an amazing, incredible, stupendous view of (drumroll please...) the parking garage!
What I would have really loved to have taken a picture of is my amazing, brilliant and cool nephew and his girlfriend who dropped by to visit me! They are on a big roadtrip...first it was from Florida to Fair Haven to see his Mom, and then down to Texas to visit me and his Grandmother. Soon they'll be heading to sunny California. It was so fun having company on a business trip! I haven't seen my nephew in five years, so it was terrific to get to spend time with him and his sweet girlfriend. It certainly was wonderful.
Oh, and I even got to meet their pet python, that they snuck into the hotel. The snake spent the night slithering about in the bathroom. She blended in well with the brass mirrors!
Well, I'd better go unpack!
